Waiting for the plane

While at DFW airport waiting for ground transport, I really wanted the Yellow Cab to be at the front of the line--but, alas, the taxi line at Terminal B where the puddle-jumpers from Lubbock and Amarillo land moves very slowly.

The resident on Elmwood Avenue uses the 66th Street side of his fence to support his party candidates. He took offense at removal and vandalism of the signs and posted his own admonishment.

For years International Harvester was the industry leader in agricultural equipment. This truck is delivering the fall harvest of grapes to McPherson Winery.
*Technical Delay: Like a diligent laptop user, I did the "upgrades" thing which then zapped my Internet Explorer. I learned that is a common problem - which begs the question -- if it is common why isn't it solved or at least come with a warning and a solution? Thanks to a computer-savvy young man, my dueling firewalls are disarmed.

The eloquently and aptly named "Cat" has the whole farm at Hale Center as her domain. She lives in the barn with running water and mice. Cat was best friends with Big Dog but he disappeared a few months ago. Cat has the better survival skills.

G is for GUTSThe Silent Wings Museum in Lubbock, Texas at the site of the World War II training field for glider pilots is host for the annual reunion of the few pilots remaining from the original 6,000 military volunteers who flew beyond enemy lines in a light-weight, fabric-covered, motorless aircraft on a one-way mission. The oral histories offered by these veterans are amazing.
